Welcome 2010....

 We had a wonderful time visiting with family and being on the beach in Floriday for Christmas.. Looking forward to what the new year has in store for us. Nick is turning 10 on Sunday and I can't believe my little baby is now in "double digits" as he keeps reminding me on a daily basis. Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and good luck to you in the new year.

time to crash...

i'm going to keep this post short, sweet and to the point!! nikki had 2 friends sleepover last night for his birthday and they didn't go home today until 3:00 this afternoon. so, needless to say, i'm exhausted!!! it is SO DIFFERENT going from having 1 child in the house to having a total of 3 children in the house, all boys at that!! so, i am going to finish a few things around here and get ready for tomorrow and GO TO BED!!! so, i will be on here again tomorrow, until then, have a good night!! 9 years ago today...

hello...i can't hardly believe that 9 years ago today, our son was born!! today is very emotional for me today! nikki keeps reminding me that this is the last year he will be in single digits and let me tell you that has hit me like a freight train!! i am happy and sad at the same time. he will be having friends over tonight for a sleepover and he said they will be partying tonight! oh, the gray hairs have started!! HA!! this is crazy, i am sitting here and as i'm blogging i am about to start crying, oh the hormones!! part of me wants so very bad for him to stay young and a part of me is so very happy and proud to see him growing up in front of my eyes. i am so proud of his academics, his Taekwondo and now he will be in choir when we go back to school on Tuesday. we truly couldn't ask for a better son, he his my life, my heart, my little man!! i hope for him that he achieves his dreams, finds the one that makes him happy and loves him like i love his father!! i have to quit talking about this now, i'm just to damn emotional!!! moving on, last night we went over to some friends' house and met up with 2 other families over there. the food and company were so great, we truly had an awesome time even though we weren't feeling up to par!! that's one thing i do not like about the military life..when you go to a new base and make friends and then you have to leave!! i know though, these friends will be friends for life!! well, i better go and start preparing for the sleepover tonight, the countdown is on!! please, wish me luck, 3 boys in the house and 1 sick husband....oh it's going to be a long night!! NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS...

i forgot to post my new year resolutions...

1. to eat better (keep track and make myslef accountable)
2. to exercise more and on a regular basis (keep track and make myself accountable)
3. to take time to enjoy and live in the moment
4. to take more time for myself and read a devotional everyday
5. and last but definitley NOT least...to date my husband more...lgo on a date at least once a month if not more

these are areas of my life that right now in the present i feel i need to focus on the most!! i don't like to necessarily call these resolutions, just areas that i want to focus on more!! do you make resolutions? if you do, good luck and wish me luck also!! HA!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR.....

Happy New year to all!! We rang in the new year by watching Shrek 2, playing Texas hold 'em poker, eating domino's pizza and watching the ball drop!! We had a lot of fun!!! i need to get our Christmas and new year's pics posted shortly, running a little behind!! HA! We got a new puppy almost a month ago and i need to post those pics also!!We woke up this morning not feeling good at all!!! i hope we feel better later today, we are suppose to be going to a friend's house tonight for dinner! i am feeling a little, okay a lot of blues today...our little boy will be 9 years old tomorrow and trust me he hasn't let us forget!! He keeps reminding us that this is his last year of being in the single digits and next year he will be a pre=teen!! Oh, how i see the gray hairs approaching rather quickly!!! LOL!!! Seriously though, where does the time go? I find as i'm getting older, each year seems to be getting shorter, how wrong is that?!?!? Well, i better go for now and take some medicine and try to feel better for tonight. i will post pics soon!! i will also put on a happy face for our son that is sooo excited about his birthday tomorrow....aahh our little baby is no longer a little baby!!! ~ RECOVERY ~

Three days ago, my son, husband and I went to a local roller skating rink for my son's Taekwondo belt rank ceremony. He passed his test and is officially now a junior brown belt!!! Yeah, we are so proud of him!!! So, as I was roller skating, mind you I haven't roller skated since I was A LOT younger, my right roller skate hit a pebble or small rock and locked up on me!!! So, I fell straight on my fanny and bounced back and hit the back of my head on the floor!! Long story short, I am at home recovering from a concussion!!! I had to do the whole ER, CT thing with an IV---not the way I wanted to start my Christmas vacation, but what do ya do? So, I am finally out of the bed today, showered and starting to feel better, I think. Just need to take it slow!! Other than that, we have been busy with work and Taekwondo and a new puppy!!! So, I guess I better go for now and get some more rest, don't want to overdue things!!

Weekend ramblings

Well, yesterday our college football team playes and can I jus say, "GO DAWGS"!! ;o)
We love football, basketball, and baseball!! I haven't had a chance to watch NFL today, I had to run some errands. I have missed work all last week, I stayed home with our son that is sick with bronchitis borderline pneumonia!! He is still not feeling better, I have to call the doc tomorrow and try to get him seen again. My poor baby, I wish he would feel better soon!! I hate seeing my son sick!! ;-( Anyway, our A.C. Moore that is close to us is going out of business and can I just say MAJOR SALES!!!! I spent $85.00 today and saved over $110.00, now if that's not a huge saving, I don't know what is!!! LOL!!! Well, I better go for now, Amazing Race should be on soon, I think it's running late due to the football game, that I missed!! Better go and take care of the little one!! Oh, I almost forgot....a highschool friend of mine posted on her blog today that her grandmother was taken Friday night by a driver that ran a red light and hit her truck!! So, please say an extra prayer for her even though you don't know her, I know my friend's family will appreciate it!! On that note, hope everyone had a good weekend, take care!!
